Transportation Plan

 

The conference will take place in three locations:

 

The conference will be held as a three-day event, including an optional excursion to Petra (for participants from abroad):

  • Tuesday, 16th of April, 10:00 A.M. Opening Ceremony in Amman (Marriott Hotel – Shmeisani - Amman) followed by two parallel sessions at the same hotel.

  • Wednesday, 17th of April, 10:00 A.M.: Three parallel Session at the premises of Yarmouk University – Irbid.

  • Thursday, 18th of April, 10:00 A.M. Two parallel Sessions at the premises Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment – Amman – Jabal Amman – Yazid bin Abi Sufyan Street.

  • Friday, 19th of April: Excursion to Petra.

 

 

  1. Tuesday, 16.04 (Conference venue: Marriott – Amman – 10:00 A.M.):

 

  • Participants from Amman area:

You are kindly requested to come directly to Marriott for the opening ceremony and the sessions that will take place until late afternoon.

  • For participants staying at the  Institute Francais Proche Orient (Ifpo) – Amman  transportation to meeting points and conference venues will be provided.

  • For participants from Yarmouk University and Irbid area - Meeting point:   Yarmouk University (in front of the presidency office). Departure to Marriott - Amman at 8:00 AM. The bus will return to Irbid after dinner in the evening. For those who would like to return to Irbid earlier, a bus will be available.

 

2. Wednesday, 17.04 (Conference venue: Yarmouk University – Irbid – 10:00 A.M.)

 

  • Participants from Amman area, including participants staying at Marriott hotel, meet in front of the hotel at 7:45. Four medium size busses will depart at 8:00 A.M. to Irbid – Yarmouk Univerity. Busses will return back to Amman after dinner. For those who would like to return to Amman earlier, a bus will be available.

 

3. Thursday, 18.04 (Conference venue: GJU - School of Architecture  -  Darat Othman Bdeir - Amman. Jabal Amman - First circle. Yazid bin Abi Sufian street – 10:00 A.M.)

 

  • Participants from Amman Area are kindly requested to come directly- School of Architecture  -  Darat Othman Bdeir - Amman. Jabal Amman or take the bus from Marriott Hotel at 9:00 A.M.

  • For participants staying at the  Institute Francais Proche Orient (Ifpo) – Amman  transportation to meeting points and conference venues will be provided.

  • For participants from Yarmouk University and Irbid area- Meeting point:    Yarmouk University (in front of the presidency office). A bus will depart to Marriott - Amman at 8:00 AM. The bus will return after dinner at 9:00 P.M. to Irbid in the evening.

 

4. Friday, 19.04 (Cultural Program – Excursion to Petra – Optional)

  • Participants from abroad are offered an optional one-day excursion to Petra. Meeting point: Marriott-Hotel – Amman. Departure: 6:00 A.M.
